My Own Stage Design for Romeo and Juliet: Balcony Scene
BY: Anne
Romeo and Juliet is a classic love tragedy, written by the infamous William Shakespeare.
I present to you my edit take on the Romeo and Juliet: Balcony Scene
I
decided to do an "Outdoor/Open-air Opera" for the Romeo and Juliet
Balcony Scene. As I've noticed, Outdoor Operas are really rare, that's why I
chose it for it to be a lil' unique and different. I as well admire the
Open-air feel, I believe it will make the scene more dramatic and give a
realistic feeling.

Background
Design, As you can see the background design is inspired by the Romeo and
Juliet Balcony Scene, From the Bushes in where Romeo was to the Tall Balcony in
where Juliet was acting.
Orchestra and Sound system, Orchestra will be mainly used in
the play than the sound system. The sound system portrays as a backup
background music in case the orchestra occurred some complications during the
play. The orchestra can be seen at the side of the stage, while the sound
system is placed a little behind on the right corner of the stage.
Stage lights, The stage lights in front below of the stage is
used to lit up the stage at night. The stage lights at the side will be
utilized as a spotlight, to enhance a performer on stage.
Stage, the stage is painted as wood, because I like wood, to
me its refreshing to see. I kept it simple, no design, for the performers to
move around freely.
Seats and Aisles, The usual opera seats with aisles for
walking or passing.
Shade, for the audience. In case any weather conditions
happen.
